Cross-border direct flights to/from Wangen-Lachen are only possible for persons not requiring a visa, without dutiable goods, and exclusively from Schengen countries.
Procedure & Regulations
- The pilot in charge must complete and submit the „customs declaration“ (link below) no earlier than 24 hours and no later than 2 1/4 hours before the planned take-off in Wangen-Lachen, or 2 1/4 hours before the planned landing in Wangen-Lachen.
Attention:
No departure from LSPV or abroad without telephone confirmation. Please be patient – due to call forwarding, please let the phone ring a little longer. Answering the phone is not guaranteed (phone service: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
Therefore, submit customs declarations early (up to 24 hours before departure). - In any case, after receiving the confirmation email, the pilot must personally call the operations manager at the airfield on +41 55 460 14 92. He will inquire about the conditions at the airfield and confirm that his customs declaration has been submitted.
- The operations manager checks the receipt of the customs declaration, verifies it, and immediately forwards it to the customs and police authorities. The customs declaration is only activated once the operations manager has given their approval and forwarded it to the customs and police authorities.
- The pilot in command is obligated to strictly adhere to the customs and police regulations shown on the registration form and to inform the passengers of these regulations. Instructions from airport, customs, and police authorities must be followed in all cases.
- The reported take-off and landing times must be adhered to whenever possible. Early departure in LSPV is strictly prohibited. The pilot in command must report any significant take-off or landing delay (>30 min.) or flight cancellation to the operations manager as early as possible, who will then immediately forward the change to customs and police authorities.
- After landing in Wangen-Lachen, the pilot and passengers leave their luggage on the aircraft for the time being and proceed directly to the C-Office. They remain there for further processing by airport, customs, or police authorities.
- Customs clearance fees are charged separately in addition to the landing and parking fees. For visiting pilots: Separate customs fee(s) of CHF 50.- (arrival) or CHF 25.- (departure) must be paid before take-off or after landing, recorded on the landing fee envelope, and the envelope must then be deposited in the yellow mailbox at the entrance to the C-Office.
